Privacy policy
What is collected, why it is needed, and what is never stored.
Operated by Cloutboard. Last updated .
What we never store
Card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs and bank credentials. These are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach our servers. We store only the provider’s reference for a payment, the amount, and the currency.
What we collect when you bid
- Your email address — to send your receipt and to tell you when you have been outbid.
- Your phone number and display name, if you provide them. Both are optional.
- The bid itself — amount, currency, position, time, and the payment provider’s reference.
Bidder identity is never shown publicly. Boards display the profile that holds a position and the amount, never who paid for it.
What we collect when you browse
A session identifier stored in a cookie, used to count visitors and how many people are viewing a profile. Where an IP address is used for rate limiting, it is hashed rather than stored.
These counts are real measurements. Nothing on this site displays an invented visitor, viewer, or activity figure.
Separately, our host collects aggregate page-view and page-speed statistics for us. Those are cookie-less, do not identify you, and are never the source of any number shown on the site — every visitor and viewer count you see is counted by us.
Profiles on public boards
Profile information — handle, display name, avatar, audience figures — comes from whoever submitted it. Audience numbers are self-reported, are not verified, and have no bearing on position.
Who else sees your data
- Our payment provider, to take payments and issue refunds.
- Our email provider, to send receipts and outbid notifications.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store the data on our behalf.
- Our host’s analytics, which records page views and page-loading speed. It is aggregated, uses no cookies, and does not identify you.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long it is kept
Payment and bid records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Presence data expires within minutes. Raw analytics events are deleted automatically after a year.
Your choices
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted — write to our contact page. Bid and payment records we are legally required to retain will be kept, and we will say so.
Outbid emails can be turned off from any email we send you.
